Terms of Service

The short version. Use Clothadex for your own wardrobe, upload only photos you have the right to upload, and don't abuse the service. Pro is a subscription billed by Apple and cancelled through Apple. Our outfit suggestions are just suggestions. You keep ownership of your photos.
1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Clothadex. By creating an account or using the app or this website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Clothadex.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Clothadex. If you are under the age of majority in your state, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
Clothadex is offered only in the United States. The app is distributed on the US App Store storefront and is intended for US residents. We make no claim that it is appropriate or available for use elsewhere, and you are responsible for complying with local law if you access it from outside the US.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Give us accurate information, and tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
One account per person. Do not share your account or let anyone else use it.
3. Your content
You own what you upload. Photos of your clothing, your notes, and your posts remain yours. We do not claim ownership.
To operate the service, you grant us a limited licence to store, reproduce, modify (for example resizing images or removing backgrounds), and display your content — solely to provide Clothadex to you and to anyone you deliberately share with. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with others or retained in routine backups for a short period.
You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
If you publish to the showcase, you additionally grant other users the ability to view what you post, for as long as you keep it public.
4. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Upload anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that depicts someone without their consent.
- Upload photos of other people's bodies or faces without their permission.
- Infringe copyright, trademarks, or other rights.
- Attempt to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, or bypass rate limits, usage caps, or paywalls.
- Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content.
- Resell or redistribute the service or its AI output as your own product.
- Impersonate anyone, or use the showcase to spam or advertise.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.
5. Clothadex Pro
Billing is by Apple. Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through your Apple ID. We never see or handle your payment details.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Your Apple ID is charged at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
- Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, under their policies — we cannot issue them. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Free accounts have daily and lifetime limits on AI features. We may change what each tier includes, or change prices, with reasonable notice; price changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.
6. AI suggestions
Clothadex uses AI to identify clothing and recommend outfits. It gets things wrong — misreading a colour, a fabric, or a garment type, and producing suggestions that don't suit you.
Suggestions are for general information only. They are not professional styling, sizing, medical, or purchasing advice. Check details yourself before relying on them, particularly before buying anything. Shopping links may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you — this never changes what the stylist recommends.
7. Availability
We aim to keep Clothadex running but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice so you can export or delete your data.
8. Ending it
You can stop using Clothadex whenever you like and delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your content. Cancel any active subscription separately through Apple.
We may suspend or terminate your account for a material breach of these terms, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — content licence for already-shared material, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute terms — continue to apply.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clothadex is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clothadex will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Clothadex is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Clothadex against claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from content you upload or share, or from your breach of these terms or of applicable law.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use Clothadex after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, nothing here deprives you of the mandatory protections of your home state's consumer protection laws.
14. Apple
These terms are between you and Clothadex, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or handle claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
15. General
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them in connection with a merger or sale of the business. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us.
